Is the computer repairer liable if my computer is out of warranty because they kept it for too long?
I got my computer repaired in January. Since then, I have been taking it back days after it was fixed. Between repairs, they keep my computer for weeks. I have only had it for at the most 3 weeks. Now the clinic said both times had a 30 day warranty but the 3rd is not because it is 15 days out of warranty since the 1st repair. Who is liable?
That would depend on the actual contract or terms given to you for the repair from the repair shop.
Personally speaking, warranty period starts when you get your computer back. If when you get it back and the problem is not fixed, then the period counter should only start when you actually get it back and it's FIXED. If they gave it back and it's NOT fixed, then it's THEIR fault giving it back to you that way.
However, actual result will depend on the contract language you have.
