Ethernet Routing

my ethernet modems can't communictes each other?

dear,

i have 2 ethernet modems. one is acting as a bridge& another one is routing mode. in bridge modem i give as a default ip and another one set an wan ip. and these two are connected through a leased line.bridge is connected directly to router.if one is bridge & other is routing mode.... if the communication is possibel or not...... i cant communicates each other. plse reply me very urgent....in a deatiled way....to this mail id

Modems do not act as bridges and/or routers. A modem is a Modulator/Demodulator that converts a digital signal to an analog signal.

If the modems are connected through a leased line then they are communicating with each other. If they are not communicating with each other then they are not connected through the lease line, it is broke.

What you do with the digital after the modem hands it off to you is not a telecommunications problem.
