Why does my cat attack my feet for no reason?
My male cat (one year old) Chicago just attacks me for no reason sometimes! I love this cat he is very lovable, but if i am walking by or even sitting he will attack me by biting me. He seemed to start it once I moved in with my boyfriend. (Before that I was still always around and slept over too) I have told him no, walked away and I have even used a squirt bottle. The only thing that seems to work (for a short time) is a time out in the bathroom. Can some one please help me?
I assume that the cat hasn't caused any real injury by attacking your feet. If so, he's just playing or he wants your attention. He may feel insecure about the new living arrangement. If he were really serious, you'd know it, because he would draw blood.
I've had cats do this to me before, so I know how annoying it can be.
I think giving him "time out" is a good idea if you want him to leave you in peace for awhile. Aside from that, make sure he has plenty of toys to play with & is getting some exercise.
