Lan Adaptor Card
help woith router?
i buyed a TP link router and i nee help with installing it, could someone please help...
model is - TL-WR340G i need exrtaaaaa help. lol
and i have a wireless ASUS LAN card bus Adaptor -
it says changed the IP address of oyur PC open TCP/IP how do i do this, ....... of lan card in your PC/??
before connecting the router, be sure that you have an internet connection coming from your modem
go to the command prompt and check your ip as well as default gateway (take note of that)
after connecting the router, restart everything, pc, modem, router then try to get online
are you using an ethernet cable / RJ45 cable?
or you are supposed to be connected wireless?
well, try to use an ethernet cable (hard wired connection) first before going to the wireless connection, if you cannot connect to the internet, check your network connections, go to control panel, then "network connections"
check your LAN icon, does it says connected? or does it says limited or no connectivity?
when it says limited or no connectivity, right click on it, choose "disable" then wait for your LAN to disable and double click it (it will repair your IP automatically)
if it says connected and still you cannot connect to the internet, go back to command prompt and check for the default gateway again (i hope that you take note of the previous default gateway that you have)
that should not be the same like that of the previous one
if they are the same, they're having a conflict and that's the reason why you cannot connect to the internet with the router
there are two ways to fix it
1. set your modem to bridge mode, you can contact your internet provider to assist you on how to set the modem to bridge mode
2. or, change the default gateway, how? you are going to access the interface of your router, im so sorry but im not much familiar with your router, im more familiar with linksys and netgear, for that, you can call the tech support team of your router to assist you further
