Computer power supply question?
I have an old gateway computer with a newton power ltd. model number NPS-160CB-1 A, REV:00, and serial number is GVT0202499087. The supply just went out, and i'm looking for one that will for sure fit and have the same connectors. I had 2 cd drives hooked up, a floopy drive, 2 hard drives, graphics card, and whatever else is necessary. Please help if you know what your talking about
Whether it is a micro ATX or a ATX case, an ATX Power Supply Unit will work with both formats, since it is the same size and screw configuration for both case formats. I wouldn't recommend using Best Buy's Dynex PSU's since they are pretty cheap and don't have the reliability, unless he was really desperate. I would most likely get a Antec or Thermal Take PSU, they are both reliable, but Thermal Take is the cheapest of the two.
